Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist to join our community-based team in Colmar, PA (Montgomery County). You will use your lived experience to walk with individuals on their mental health recovery journey and help them direct their own progress.

The ideal candidate has CPS certification, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel to homes and community locations.

Qualifications

• Must maintain CPS certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Work Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable vehicle.
• Travel to homes and community locations; mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals to direct their recovery and build recovery skills.
• Educate participants on service options and connect to resources.
• Coordinate and document progress, including Recovery Plans, per standards.
• Re-engage individuals who have discontinued services through outreach and follow-ups.
• Facilitate WRAP groups and attend CPS technical assistance meetings.
• Maintain Peer Certification through ongoing training.
• Support individuals with mental illness in obtaining and sustaining employment.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
