Rescue Mission of Trenton is seeking a compassionate Certified Peer Recovery Specialist to join our Mercer County Wellness Center team. The role focuses on supporting individuals toward recovery, wellness, and community connection, acting as a trusted peer and resource navigator.

The ideal candidate will have strong listening, empathy, and communication abilities, with a commitment to helping diverse clients access services and achieve personal goals.

Qualifikationen

• Strong communication, active listening, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Aufgaben

• Welcome participants and provide a supportive, respectful experience at the Mercer County Wellness Center.
• Complete participant intake and assist with developing individual action plans.
• Connect individuals with community resources, programs, and supportive services.
• Make referrals and assist participants with scheduling appointments and transportation.
• Provide follow-up and encouragement to help individuals stay connected to services.
• Assist with workshops, educational programs, wellness activities, and community events.
• Promote recovery, self-care, healthy living, and community engagement.
• Maintain accurate and timely participant documentation and records.
• Help ensure the Mercer County Wellness Center remains safe, clean, and welcoming.
• Participate in staff meetings, required training, and other program activities.

Ausbildung

High school diploma or GED

Associate degree preferred
