Job summary

Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a Tennessee Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to join the ROADs program. The role focuses on peer support, recovery advocacy, and education for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders within the inpatient and community setting.

The CPRS works with the inpatient unit team to support client self-help, transitions, and treatment objectives, enhancing Ridgeview's mission to improve lives through hope and recovery.

Qualifications

• Must be a current or former mental health consumer with at least two years of experience in the mental health field.
• High School Diploma or GED at minimum.
• If not CPRS, must be willing to obtain Peer Specialist Certification within one year of hire.
• Requires TN driver's license and F endorsement (may be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support and assist clients in meeting program objectives.
• Co-facilitate recovery groups and support program participants on the inpatient unit.
• Assist with transitions onto and from Ridgeview's Inpatient Unit and promote recovery and self-help.
