The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) in Maryland seeks a dedicated Peer Recovery Specialist II to support clients with substance use and mental health recovery. You will promote healthy behaviors and connect individuals to housing, employment, education, transportation, and community resources within both confinement and community settings.

Responsibilities include providing peer recovery support, guiding clients toward empowerment, and ensuring adherence to MAPCB

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• One year of experience providing peer recovery support services.
• Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces service experience for the required experience.
