Job summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Supporter to work under supervision with clients who have a substance use disorder, in support of the Fairfield County OhioSTART program and community partners.

The role focuses on providing sobriety support, education on recovery, and helping clients access needed resources; strong emphasis on ethics, confidentiality, and teamwork within a non-profit behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ohio Peer Recovery Supporter Certification is required.
• Experience as Recovery Coach and knowledge of court/community resources is preferred.
• Driver's license with safe driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide sobriety support services and inspire hope of recovery from addiction or co-occurring disorders.
• Meet with clients weekly and coordinate with supervisor to step down as appropriate.
• Educate clients on the addiction model and paths to recovery.
• Help expand client’s sober support network and connect to community resources.
