Job summary

Amity Foundation is hiring a Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator to teach and support inmates through CBI Life Skills and Family Relations programming. The role involves delivering evidence-based curriculum, documenting progress, and coordinating with CDCR staff.

A Cal MHSA certification is required, with priority given to resume certifications or scheduled test dates. Location involves work within state facilities, with a full-time onsite schedule and local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator.
• Certification number on resume is preferred; or include scheduled Cal MHSA test date.
• If not certified, wait until certification or have a scheduled test; otherwise disqualified.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CBI Life Skills and Family Relations classes using approved curriculum.
• Conduct individual sessions to develop action plans and provide makeup work.
• Evaluate and document participant progress in ARMS.
• Engage participants daily and reinforce group norms for participation.
