Job summary

Select Ortho is seeking a CPED-Orthotic Fitter in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time role includes responsibilities such as fitting and patient education regarding orthoses and medical equipment.

The ideal candidate must hold a Certified Pedorthist Certification or have substantial experience in custom foot and ankle orthosis fitting. Skills in medical terminology and strong interpersonal relationships are essential.

Qualifications

• Must currently hold Certified Pedorthist Certification, or have 3 years of experience fitting custom foot and ankle orthosis.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, insurance claims, and insurance benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide fitting, patient education on application, use, care, and expected outcome for products.
• Educate patients on insurance plans and provisions, financial responsibilities.
• Ensure all necessary documentation and authorization is obtained.
• Track, maintain, and order inventory for multiple locations.
• Actively promote relations with external case managers, payers, and suppliers.
• Document measurements, ABN’s, MAE’s and LMN’s as needed.

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

Alpha and numeric data entry skills

Ability to work quickly and accurately

Establish and maintain effective working relationships

Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology

DME or orthoses related medical experience

Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices

Basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures

Biomechanics knowledge

Education

High school or equivalent
