Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Successful completion of formal phlebotomy course or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years phlebotomy experience (two years in a diagnostic setting) OR one year in a pediatric facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient identification and collection of laboratory specimens.
• Input specimen information into the laboratory information system and assist with patient registration as needed.
• Receive specimens in the lab reception area and maintain specimen integrity during transport and processing.
• Provide courteous customer service to visitors and staff, answer phones, and support specimen requirements.
