Providence Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with daily living activities and support licensed nurses in delivering patient-focused care.

The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level, or current graduate of a state-approved PCT program (CPCT).

• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals, or National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing, or National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• 6 months of PCT experience in an acute care setting.

• 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
