Providence is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist patients with activities of daily living and tasks delegated by licensed nurses. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and patient-centered care in a hospital setting.

Required qualifications include CPCT program or equivalent experience, and BLS along with one of several national PCT certifications. The position is on-site at Covenant Medical Center in Texas.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training and combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level.
• Certified BLS by American Heart Association required upon hire.
• National certification for Patient Care Technician required upon hire (NAHP, NCT, or NHA).
• CPCT program graduate or equivalent experience acceptable for function and level.

Description

The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training and Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level. Or Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing Or
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Health career Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 6 months of PCT experience in an acute care setting.
• 6 months of Phlebotomy experience.
