Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL seeks a patient care technician to provide bedside care under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patient condition, and help maintain a safe, clean environment. Emphasis on compassionate, culturally appropriate care in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and current CNA/worked experience is preferred; BLS/CPR certification is required. This role offers day shifts and benefits from Day One.

Job Description

Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives. Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse. Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy. Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse. Assists in identifying patient needs Performs other duties as assigned.
