Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, Florida is seeking a patient care technician/assistive role for night shifts. The position involves providing essential patient care in an acute care setting, following safety protocols, and collaborating with the care team. A High School diploma is required, with preferred PCT bedside experience.

BLS certification is required; CNA/CPCT-A/EMT credentials may qualify. This full-time role offers day-one benefits and requires adherence to Florida background

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ PCT experience preferred.
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit or similar role preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CNA/CPCT-A/EMT certifications may be required.
• Florida Level 2 background screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
