Job summary

Providence Covenant Children's Hosp (Methodist Children's Hosp) is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support daily patient care in a pediatric hospital setting. You will assist with activities of daily living and delegated nursing tasks under the supervision of licensed nurses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of state-approved PCT program (CPCT) or equivalent.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• National PCT certifications from NAHP/NCCT/NHA accepted at hire.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level, or equivalent educ/experience
  • Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals, or
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing, or
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer Association

Preferred Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 6 monthsof PCT experience in an acute care setting.
• 6 monthsof Phlebotomy experience.
