Banner Boswell Medical Center in Sun City, AZ, is seeking Patient Care Assistants to join our 4th Floor General Medical Surgical | Oncology Unit. The unit handles urology, plastics, gyn, abdominal surgeries, overflow medical patients with conditions like pneumonia, GI issues, skin disorders, and can flex to semi-private rooms for 34 beds. Responsibilities include patient data collection, documentation, and supporting unit functions, with a focus on team collaboration.
Full-time night shift available (3 12-hour shifts), with hours from 6 pm to 6:30 am. Self-scheduling tools are available; shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation includes a weekend shift differential of $1/hour and an 18% night shift differential when applicable.

Position Summary: This role provides routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the overall patient care plan. Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, and supporting nursing operations, contributing to efficient unit functioning.
Core Functions:
This position operates under supervision within a fast-paced environment, emphasizing customer service and teamwork.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED, current BLS certification, and CNA license in the state of practice are required. One year of medical clerical or healthcare experience preferred, with skills in organization, communication, medical terminology, and computer literacy. Additional certifications like ECG interpretation may be required depending on the department.
Employees must maintain required fingerprint clearance cards based on their specific department and location.
Preferred Qualifications: LNA licensure in Arizona, recent healthcare experience, and completion of a unit secretary program are preferred.
