Qualifications

• Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.).
• Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician, preferred.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office, preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• The PCA II provides direct patient care under RN supervision and assists with daily living activities.
• Maintains safety and supervises dysrhythmia monitoring as part of the role.
• Performs basic nursing tasks as directed while prioritizing patient comfort.
• Ensures accurate documentation and contributes to a safe care environment.
