Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME, part of Central Maine Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II (PCA II) for the Coronary Care Unit on a per diem, variable shift basis. The CNA II provides direct patient care, assists with activities of daily living, and supports dysrhythmia monitoring under the supervision of registered nurses.

Required qualifications include CNA certification, BLS, and knowledge of medical terminology; additional credentials such as dysrhythmia

Qualifications

• Current Certification in Patient Care (CNA/MA/EMT, etc.)
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire
• Dysrhythmia interpretation certification preferred
• Six months Monitor Technician or related experience preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• EKG certification preferred
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months acute care hospital or physician’s office experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Support RN in patient care and dysrhythmia monitoring.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment on LC unit.
