Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Current certification as a Certified Fitter or Orthotics (ABC) is required or eligible.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license and driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patient needs related to disease and functional loss.
• Provide independent patient care for devices within scope.
• Evaluate orthotic devices for fit, function, medical efficacy, and quality of work.
• Instruct patients in the use of orthotic devices.
• Identify and resolve issues to ensure patient satisfaction with devices.
• Provide detailed clinical notes to patient records and assist with reimbursement processes.
• Follow up with patients and physicians; provide in‑service training to staff.
• Support other clinical staff and comply with safety regulations.
