Synchrony in Muncie, Indiana is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support an interdisciplinary team under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will perform therapeutic interventions, including exercises and ADL training, following established treatment plans.

Ideal candidates have an OTA degree, possess state licensure or certification, and hold CPR certification (preferred). Experience is 0-1 years.

Qualifications

• Education: OTA degree from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Licenses and Certifications: Must have and maintain a current state OTA licensure or certification; CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation of patients' responses, progress, and communicate findings to the supervising therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and progress strategies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Other duties as assigned.
