Job summary

Fairfax Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our clinical team in Fairfax, VA. You will implement therapy programs under the supervision of an occupational therapist and help improve patients’ functional abilities in a supportive setting.

The ideal candidate has a COTA credential, a compassionate approach, and flexibility to work full-time, part-time, or PRN. We offer competitive pay and a collaborative work environment close to home.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Maintains certification through the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board (preferred).
• Minimum of one-year experience in an acute care facility, outpatient setting, community health service, or Home Health agency as a COTA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy programs developed by the Occupational Therapist in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with facility staff to enhance patients' physical, mental and social well-being.
• Contribute to a caring and compassionate team environment to support patient recovery.
• Assist with patient documentation and progress notes as required.
