Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant to support an Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy and education to patients, focusing on restoring function in daily living activities. You may work with patients with cognitive impairment and physical disabilities, collaborating with caregivers to optimize outcomes.

You will assist with plan of care, document progress, and participate in care coordination and staff education under supervision.

Qualifications

• AA degree from accredited OTA program.
• Licensed/certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• CPR/BLS certification prior to hire or within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in providing therapy to patient/client.
• Implement treatment plans as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assess and modify treatment methods under supervision.
• Document patient activities per department standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with health care team to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
• Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and educate families or caregivers.
