Job summary

Apploi in Wichita, KS seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed OTs in delivering patient-centered therapy and documenting progress in accordance with state regulations. You will implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a healthcare team to help SNF residents function independently and safely.

This role requires an Associate degree and active state licensure, with duties including equipment maintenance, progress notes, care plan

Qualifications

• Must have SNF patient care knowledge and skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication required.
• Associate degree in OT and active state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Select therapy activities to fit patients’ needs and track progress.
• Collaborate with other health care professionals involved in care.
• Instruct patients and families in home programs and adaptive equipment usage; assist with treatment plans.
• Assess daily living skills and aid dressing and grooming.
• Assemble, clean, and maintain equipment and materials for patient use.
• Demonstrate therapy techniques and help patients manage emotions.
• Attend care plan meetings to review patient progress.
