Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide home health visits across Green Valley and South Tucson. This role can be part-time or full-time, with duties focused on delivering rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to patients at home.

The ideal candidate will be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in Arizona, willing to travel within the territory, and have relevant experience and education as described in the qualifications.

Qualifications

• Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the state of Arizona.
• Must be willing to travel in assigned territory.
• Have graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the AMA and the AOTA.
• Have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted before Dec 31, 1977.
• Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide home health care rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients in the Green Valley, South Tucson area.
• Be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team to support patient independence at home.

BAYADA Home Health Care has an immediate opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide home health care visits for clients located throughout the Green Valley and South Tucson area. This is a part time or full time opportunity.

As a home health care Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary health care team that provides rehabilitative care and skilled nursing to clients, affording them the opportunity to receive the medical care required to remain at home.

Each Occupational Therapist Assistant must:

• Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the state of Arizona
• Must be willing to travel in assigned territory.
• Have graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma; or
• Have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
• Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
