Job summary

Freedom at Home seeks compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our home health team. We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN options with excellent pay, paid mileage, and flexible scheduling.

As a COTA you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, educate patients and caregivers, and help patients regain independence in their own homes. A supportive leadership team and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Current COTA license in the state of practice.
• Current NBCOT certification, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of two years of COTA experience preferred.
• Home Health experience is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients' independence, safety, and quality of life.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living (ADLs), and use of assistive equipment.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, exercises, and techniques to maximize independence.
• Complete accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
• Promote safe, compassionate, high-quality care that helps patients remain independent in their homes.
