Job summary

MUSC Health at Home by BAYADA has an immediate opening for a Part Time/PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide home health visits for our Marion/Mullins, SC office. The role requires SC licensure, travel within the territory, and ACOTE-accredited education or equivalent experience with a proficiency exam.

Qualifications include at least one year of supervised OT experience and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant by the state of SC.
• Willing to travel within assigned territory.
• Graduated from an OTA program accredited by ACOTE or have two years of OTA experience with a proficiency exam if qualification occurred before December 31, 1977.
• At least one year of work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide home health visits for MUSC Health at Home by BAYADA Office in Marion/Mullins, SC.
• Work within an assigned territory to deliver quality OT care in patients' homes.

Each Occupational Therapist Assistant must:

• Be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant by the state of SC
• Must be willing to travel in assigned territory.
• Have graduated from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the AMA and the AOTA, as indicated by school transcript or diploma; or
• Have two years of appropriate experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a satisfactory grade on a proficiency exam conducted, approved or sponsored by the U.S. Public Health Service when initial qualification occurred before December 31, 1977
• Have at least one year’s work experience under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
