Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Newport, North Carolina, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support licensed therapists in providing therapeutic interventions within an interdisciplinary team.

You will assist with therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and patient education, document progress, and help monitor outcomes while upholding professional standards and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold or maintain current state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises and ADL training.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Observe and document patients’ responses to therapy and report findings to supervising therapist.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and strategies to support progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
