Job summary

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center in Riverdale, NY is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support patient care under the supervision of an OT. You will deliver treatment aligned with established goals and contribute to care plans in a long-term/geriatric setting.

This role emphasizes documentation, timely progress notes, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and a commitment to patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Document patient progress on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintain professionalism and punctuality in all assignments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
