Job summary

Ariel Bay Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to implement therapy programs and provide treatments under the supervision of an OT. The role emphasizes enhancing independence and functioning for residents within a collaborative rehab team.

The candidate should have graduated from an accredited OTA program, be certified and/or eligible for OT certification, and be licensed or eligible for licensure as required by New Jersey regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program; certified and/or eligible for certification by the AOTA-CB.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Implements resident’s individualized treatment plan under the OT; delivers OT treatments including ADLs and ROM.
• Performs ADL evaluations under OT direction.
• Organizes and facilitates treatment groups with OT consultation.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers in OT techniques under OT supervision.
• Works with rehab team to develop programs matching resident needs and capabilities.
• Maintains accurate resident and non-resident documentation for treated residents.
• Attends and contributes to resident care and staffing meetings as OT representative.
