The Role

What You’ll Do: Our team-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) deliver rehabilitative care under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, supporting patient progress, independence, and high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

• Assist with patient assessments, treatment planning, and goal achievement.
• Provide therapy services, monitor progress, and document outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients and care teams to deliver age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
• Maintain a safe, organized therapy environment and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Current State Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• BLS/CPR Certification required.
• While 1 year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital is preferred; new grads are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements

• A significant amount of standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling, often for prolonged periods of time. Both gross and precise motor functions.
• Lifting/exerting of up to 50 lbs.
• Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
• Visual acuity required for patient assessment and documentation of care.
• Acute hearing required for accurate patient assessment.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer keyboard.
