Job summary

Princeton Staffing Solutions is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a school-based setting in Ocala, Florida. You will work with licensed OTs to implement therapy plans and promote student participation, independence, and success across school environments.

The role involves assessing developmental needs, executing treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with teachers and families to reinforce goals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Active state licensure as a COTA is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating students' developmental needs under the supervision of a licensed OT.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans focusing on fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and coordination.
• Document student progress and adjust interventions as directed by the supervising OT.
• Support students during classroom tasks and adapt materials to meet diverse needs.
• Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions to foster social and functional skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to reinforce therapy goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goals development/review.
• Educate parents and educators on tools to support therapy outside sessions.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure and school district policies.
• Stay updated on pediatric therapy practices and apply evidence-based strategies.

Position Overview

Princeton Staffing Solutions is hiring a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a school-based special education setting. In this role, you will assist licensed Occupational Therapists in implementing therapy plans that promote student participation, independence, and success across school environments.

Key Responsibilities
