Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support therapists in an interdisciplinary setting in Vermilion, Ohio. You will assist with therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and progress documentation under the supervision of an OT.

The role requires an OTA degree, current licensure, and 0–1 years of experience. CPR certification is preferred, with benefits starting after the first month and options for loan repayment and a strong 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
