Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapists in an interdisciplinary setting in Ohio. The OTA will implement treatment plans, assist with ADL training and therapeutic exercises, and ensure accurate documentation of patient progress.

Ideal candidates hold an OTA degree, active licensure, and CPR certification; 0–1 years of experience is typical for this entry-level position.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current CPR certification, preferred
• 0-1 years of experience in OTA roles are common in entry-level positions

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, is responsible for providing therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
