Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hempstead, NY is actively seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This full-time role offers $35-$40 per hour based on experience and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supervising activities, documenting progress, and educating patients and families on therapy techniques. Prior SNF experience is preferred.

Formación

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• NBCOT certification and current state licensure/certification as required.
• Nursing home or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient treatment plans
• Conduct therapeutic activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT
• Instruct patients and families on treatment plans and proper use of therapeutic equipment
• Support patients in improving cognitive, physical, and emotional functioning
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Modify treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist as needed
• Educate patients and families on daily tasks and rehabilitation activities
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
