Zusammenfassung

Nassau Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in Hempstead, NY. This full-time role supports patients to regain independence and improve quality of life.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and educating patients and families. Prior SNF experience and NBCOT are preferred, with state licensure required.

Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• NBCOT certification is required.
• Current state licensure/certification as required by state.

Aufgaben

• Assist in development and implementation of individualized patient treatment plans.
• Conduct therapeutic activities under supervision of an OT.
• Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the OT.
• Instruct patients and families on treatment plans and use of equipment.
• Support patients in improving cognitive, physical, and emotional functioning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Modify treatment plans with OT collaboration.
• Educate patients and families on daily tasks and rehab activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize outcomes.
