Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, MA is seeking a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support occupational therapy services under a physician's order and plan of care. You will collect assessment data, participate in treatments, and help develop individualized programs while collaborating with the care team.

Per diem schedule offers weekly pay and flexibility for busy professionals.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current licensure or in the process of obtaining licensure per state requirements.
• CEU's per licensure requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient treatments per physician's order and plan of care.
• Participate in team meetings and decision-making processes.
• Consult with patients, residents, and caregivers.
• Monitor efficiencies and document activities in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations.
• Participate in clinical program development and implementation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Join our dynamic care team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield, an award-winning facility!

Up to $40 an hour with weekly pay. Berkshire Rehab is a 57-bed, all-male skilled nursing facility with a large veteran population.

About the Role

We are seeking a per diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in assisting with the provision of occupational therapy services, including collection of assessment data, direct treatment, and program development.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient treatments in accordance with a physician's order and established plan of care
• Participate in team meetings and decision-making processes
• Consult with patients, residents, and caregivers
• Monitor efficiencies and document activities in a timely manner
• Demonstrate consistent knowledge of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
• Participate in clinical program development and implementation
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Associate degree in occupational therapy assistant from an accredited program
• CEU's per state licensure requirements
• Current licensure by the applicable state agency, or be in the process of obtaining one
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and interact with all levels of staff and customers
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to stand and walk for significant amounts of time
• Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment, and direct patient care
• Ability to cope with periodic stress and prioritize tasks effectively
