Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary environment. You will support treatment plans, educate patients and families, and help improve functional abilities and independence.

Responsibilities include ADL training, therapeutic exercises, and maintaining documentation of patient progress, while collaborating with the care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0–1 years.
• Current OTA state licensure or certification is required.
• CPR certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve function and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation of patients’ responses to therapy and progress.
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Other duties as assigned.
