Job summary

West Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center seeks a Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic team. The OTA provides direct patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and documents treatments and changes in condition.

We offer a supportive management team, a strong rehab department, and full benefits. Education for new grads or COTAs with limited or no SNF experience is available, with an in-house facility that focuses on patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of treatment practices.
• SNF/Long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under supervision of an OT.
• Relays information and referrals to OT on service requests.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s OT plan of treatment with OT supervision.
• Provides clinical support and instructs patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during sessions.
• Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) will provide direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT). The OTA will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Occupational Therapist
• Implements and modifies the patient’s occupational therapy plan of treatment with OT supervision
• Provides clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during treatment sessions as necessary
• Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Skills:

Required licensure:

• Current License as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Pennsylvania. Must be in good standing.
