Job summary

Packer Staffing is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our partner facility in Madison, WI. The COTA will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services, ensuring high-quality resident care in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Education required includes an Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy with WI OTA licensure. Per diem/PRN status allows flexible scheduling while providing opportunities for ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• WI OTA licensure required or eligible.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular screenings to determine best interventions.
• Implement treatment plans and monitor short/long-term goals.
• Communicate evaluation findings to residents, families, and staff.
• Schedule resident therapy in coordination with the team.
• Document and bill OT services according to plan of care.
• Adhere to CMS documentation standards daily.

Job description

Packers Staffing is seeking for PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our partner facility. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Location: Madison, WI

Status:

.Per Diem/PRN

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
• WI OTA licensure
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification
