Job summary

Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehab team. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement care plans and guide residents through therapeutic activities in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include delivering therapeutic exercises, assisting with daily living activities, documenting sessions, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with residents, families and the care team.
• Effective time management helps balance therapy sessions and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary rehab setting.
• Physical ability to assist with patient movement and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Job Summary:

Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehab team and support residents on their journey to independence and improved quality of life. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery and mobility in a supportive long-term care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT
• Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence
• Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals
• Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs
• Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current state license/registration as a COTA
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus
