Job summary

NeuLife Rehabilitation of Louisiana is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in post-acute care settings. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to improve functional abilities and independence in activities of daily living for clients with TBI, ABI, SCI, and other neurological conditions.

• Louisiana COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in neuro-rehabilitation, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or post-acute rehab preferred.

• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, client-centered approach to patient care.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in evaluating patient needs and identifying functional limitations.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve motor skills, mobility, and ADLs.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living and therapeutic programs.
• Monitor progress and communicate observations to the supervising OT and team.
• Educate clients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs.
• Support recommendations for adaptive equipment and home modifications.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Comply with HIPAA, state licensure requirements, and regulatory standards.

NeuLife Rehabilitation of Louisiana provides post-acute rehabilitation and residential services for individuals recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and other neurological conditions. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that improve functional abilities, independence with activities of daily living, and overall quality of life for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in evaluating patient needs and identifying functional limitations.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions designed to improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living skills.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic programs.
• Monitor client progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist and treatment team.
