Job summary

The Glen in Ohio is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The OTA will provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting in line with professional standards and the position’s qualifications.

Licensure in the state as OTA and CPR certification are noted, with 0–1 years of experience. Responsibilities include assisting with treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and providing patient education and support

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.
• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
