Responsibilities

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a licensed Temporary Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Indigo Hall, a dynamic Senior Living Community located in Charleston, SC.

This is a temporary 6-week assignment starting August 4th, with the possibility of extension up to 12 weeks.

Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Rate: $35/hr

Qualifications

Job Summary: The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA), under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, provides therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting, adhering to professional standards and ethical practices.

Licenses and Certifications: Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA license or certification. CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications: Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Experience: 0-1 years.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Support patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to enhance independence.
• Maintain and update documentation of patient responses and progress, reporting findings to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies for continued progress.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing insights and observations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
