Job summary

Apploi is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support licensed therapists in implementing treatment plans for residents in Shawnee, Kansas. The OTA will help with rehabilitative activities, monitor progress, and document outcomes under supervision.

Applicants must hold an AOTA‑accredited associate degree and be licensed as a COTA where required by state law. The role also involves patient and family education, care-coordination, and adherence to privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from a AOTA accredited program.
• Licensed COTA if required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Conducts resident screens without interpretation as allowed by state practice act.
• Helps residents with rehabilitative activities and exercises outlined in a treatment plan developed with an occupational therapist.
• Monitors residents' activities to ensure correct performance and provide encouragement.
• Records residents' progress for use by the occupational therapist.
• May assist in scheduling appointments, answering calls, restocking supplies, and filing insurance forms.
• Provides training to residents, caregivers and families according to the resident's care plan.
• Completes required forms and documents per company policy and state/federal regulations.
