Responsibilities

• Patient Care Execution: Under supervision of an occupational therapist, implement therapeutic plans, teach adaptive equipment use, guide exercises, and engage patients in activities crucial for recovery.
• Activity and Program Planning: Assist in planning and selecting therapeutic activities tailored to individual patient needs, aligning with occupational therapist goals.
• Progress Monitoring: Observe, document, and report patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
• Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and families about therapy processes, adaptive equipment, and home modifications to support ongoing recovery.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current license/certification in the state of practice
