COTA Responsibilities:
Treat pediatricpatients by using therapeutic and self-care activities designed to improve function under the direction of the licensed ccupational therapist (OTR).
Monitor a pediatricpatient's activities to make sure they are performing them correctly and to offer encouragement.
Contribute to meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care plans for pediatricpatients.
Document patient’s weekly progress in appropriate records.
Instruct patients, their families and any other caregivers in skills and techniques of the pediatricpatient's treatment program, under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Demonstrate exercises that can help patients better perform everyday tasks and relieve pain.
Complete all clinical notes in a timely manner using the company’s EMR system.
Verifies client information by interviewing client, reviewing, and recording medical history, confirming purpose of treatment.
Follows treatment plan developed in collaboration with occupational therapist by teaching techniques, such as, the proper method of moving from a bed into a wheelchair, and the best ways to stretch and limber muscles.
Monitors activities to make sure they are performed correctly and provides encouragement, bringing treatment that is not having the intended effect to the attention of the therapist.
Maintains pediatricpatient occupational therapy records by recording client’s progress for use by the occupational therapist.
Generates revenues by recording billing information of services rendered.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Serves and protects the occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Current NV Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
Degree from an accreditedOccupational Therapy Assistant program.
At least one year of experience as anOccupational Therapy Assistant is required.
Pediatric experience is preferred, not required.
Current CPR certification
Willingness to participate in continued education courses.
Compassionate and caring demeanor.
Current State drivers license and auto insurance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possess good time management skills.
We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function and level. The final offer is determined by multiple factors, including skillset, work experience, and languages, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The pay range for this position is: $50-$60/visit
