Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support individualized therapy for students in Carlsbad, NM. Under the supervision of a licensed OT, you will assist with treatment programs, collect data, and help ensure progress toward IEP goals.

Preferred candidates have NM COTA license, experience in school settings, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to compassionate, student-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in NM or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience in school or pediatric settings with children facing learning or social-emotional challenges.
• Familiarity with IEPs, treatment planning, and behavior interventions.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and data documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team-based, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering individualized treatment programs for students based on their IEPs or medical plans.
• Collaborate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to implement goals and accommodations.
• Support and follow guidance from the supervising OT for therapy sessions and interventions.
• Conduct data collection and assist with initial and ongoing assessments.
• Help complete annual and triennial reviews under OT supervision.
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation and provide progress updates to the OT and team.
