Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

NeuroRestorative, part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord, and medically complex injuries, illnesses, and other challenges. We offer programs in various locations and community-based settings, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, military service members, and veterans.

Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA

  • Location: Granite Bay, CA
  • Facility: NeuroRestorative on Sierra Ponds Lane
  • Type: Per Diem (8 hours/day, 16 hours/week)
  • Pay: $30-$40/hour, based on experience
  • Additional: Pay on Demand, Home-like setting

  • Administer occupational therapy treatments according to a plan developed by a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Ensure scheduled treatments are provided; document sessions accurately.
  • Perform therapeutic exercises, including active, passive, and resistive techniques.
  • Understand indications and contraindications of healing modalities and techniques.
  • Fabricate splints under supervision and instruct participants in their use and care.
  • Train participants in home and community settings, including endurance training.
  • Maintain knowledge of occupational therapy equipment and treatments.
  • Collaborate with staff and healthcare team to modify and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Adhere to confidentiality ethics.
  • Manage inventory and request supplies as needed.
  • Maintain billing logs and follow scheduling patterns, communicating effectively with staff.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in Occupational Therapy.
  • Preferred: Two years of neuro-rehabilitation experience.
  • Licensed as a COTA in the state.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
  • Reliable, responsible, and caring.
