Job summary

BrightStar Care of Lubbock is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide one-on-one, in-home therapy under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will help patients build skills for greater independence in daily living.

Ideal candidates are compassionate, with strong communication, and the ability to work independently in the Amarillo area. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas COTA license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s plan of care.
• Provide hands-on occupational therapy services in patients’ homes.

What You’ll Do

Working under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Carry out individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s plan of care


• Provide hands‑on occupational therapy services in patients’ homes


• Work with both pediatric and adult patients


• Coordinate directly with patients and families to schedule visits


• Provide compassionate, patient‑focused care while working independently

Schedule & Pay

• PRN / As-needed


• Flexible, self‑directed scheduling


• $35-$42 per hour


• Paid weekly


• Serving Amarillo and surrounding Texas Panhandle areas

What We’re Looking For

• Current, unrestricted Texas COTA license
