Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a capable Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide care for patients with neuromuscular and orthopedic conditions under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. You will use strengthening, modalities and activity training to promote health and daily living activities.

The role involves contributing to documentation, program development, teaching and ongoing clinical skill enhancement, in a team oriented St. Mary-Corwin setting in Pueblo, Colorado.

Qualifications

• Associate in Occupational Therapist Assistant program (Required).
• Current Colorado OTA licensure.
• BLS certification.
• Medium Work – exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. constantly.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and related disorders under supervision of a licensed OTA.

Responsible for a continuum of treatment by providing care to patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other physically-related disorders requiring strengthening, modalities, manual therapy, neuromuscular reeducation and training in activities in daily living under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Utilizes rehab process to promote and restore optimal health and well-being of the patient. Participates in professional responsibilities, including documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills.
