Job summary

Pro Rehab in Fargo, ND is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Fargo Elim Health Care Center temporarily. This full-time PRN position offers 35-40 hours per week from November 2026 to January 2027, with a wage of $40 per hour.

The COTA will work under a licensed occupational therapist to implement treatment plans, monitor progress, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the health care team to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and have an associate’s degree.
• Current North Dakota COTA license.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations for long-term care.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on ADLs.

As our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will provide hands‑on therapeutic support to help patients improve, regain, and maintain their daily living skills under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. Your responsibilities will include implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, documenting outcomes, educating patients and families on therapeutic techniques, and collaborating with healthcare teams to support quality patient care. To be successful, you must have strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Position Type:Full-Time PRN - 35 - 40 Hours a week from November 2026 - January 2027

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistance Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving daily living activities (ADLs).
• Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with care plans.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and exercises.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and have an Associate’s degree.
• Must possess a current NDOccupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License
• Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Ability to provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings
