Job summary

Qualifications

SUMMARY

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides occupational therapy services including treatment, implementation, standardized assessment data, and documentation to students in the school setting.Reviews and consults with an Occupational Therapists on an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) to provide services for a student who qualifies for occupational therapy services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Successful completion of the NBCOT exam and current COTA certification. Certification must be maintained current during course of employment
• Verbal & Written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instruction
• At least 2 years of experience working with youth ages 3-18
